I found out I was autistic at thirty-five. The diagnosis explained almost everything, and then it left me standing there with empty hands. Nobody said what usually comes next.

So I started writing it down. What masking had quietly cost. Why some rooms take more out of me than others. This is the place I wish had been waiting for me.
